The San Diego Zoo has a special site designed for kids. There are activities, games, stories and videos. The live streaming animal cams are the next best thing to being there.
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK
You don’t have to wait to explore Yellowstone in person. You can check out the park’s highlights with a virtual tour.

Head to Canada and immerse yourself in farm and food tours.

Discovery Education offers a wide range of virtual field trips exploring Health & Wellness, Careers and College Readiness, Tech & Manufacturing, Sports, Finance and Economics, Science and Exploration, Natural World & Environment, Agriculture, STEM. There is even a virtual field trip exploring my favorite topic: Social Emotional Learning.
METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART
Inspired, tested and approved by real kids age 7 to 12, this site can take you to the Met without heading to the Big Apple. Explore the Met with the interactive map, watch behind the scenes videos, travel through 5,000 years of art in the Time Machine, discover fun facts and try out at-home activities.
SMITHSONIAN NATIONAL MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY
The Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History virtual tours allow you to take self-guided, room-by-room tours of select exhibits.
