MAKE DISTANCE LEARNING ENGAGING with JUST a COUPLE CLICKS

Distance and Online Learning can be made interactive and provide Teacher-Student or student-student connections, even if all aren’t online at the same moment. By adding a couple of simple additions to the lesson, teachers can provide their students with opportunities to answer questions, share thoughts, demonstrate learning, provide exchanges and discourse, or feedback. By implementing pieces of technology, extensions of programs that were available even before COVID 19 in their Teacher Editions, and using applications they know, and many were already implementing, student motivation, focus, and engagement will be high.

FOR EXAMPLE, Here are three that invite student interaction. By using peardeck.com with Google Slides, teachers have access to a wealth of pre-made interactive strategies and tasks to be inserted into lessons. Using kahoot.com, create your quizzes in seconds, for students to play anywhere, anytime, have fun, and LEARN! Kahoot unleashes the magic of learning for students, teachers, office superheroes, trivia fans, and lifelong learners. Flipgrid.com is social learning for PreK to Post Graduate learners! Flipgrid allows the magic of students’ voices. Students reflect upon, discuss, and showcase what they are learning, making, reading, solving, experiencing, playing … it’s always better together!
